On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9th), a workshop was held on the topic: “Say NO to corruption – every NO counts!”.

The workshop was held by the members of the youth organization Anti Corruption International Macedonia – Anti Corruption International, along with trainers from the association MEDIUM Skopje.

The workshop was based on modern methods and techniques of non-formal education with included practical exercises, work in groups, creative methods for encouraging discussion and expressing views.

During the workshop, the students got acquainted with the concept and definition of corruption, its forms, reasons for its appearance and its negative effects. Special emphasis was placed on the state of corruption in the Republic of Macedonia and the world. Through practical examples and exercises, the students got familiar with the tools for fighting corruption that are used in more developed countries and in the Republic of Macedonia.

During the workshop, the students were actively involved by asking numerous questions, during which a fruitful discussion developed about the ways to fight corruption in the world and in the Republic of Macedonia.
